ENGLISH COURSE

BUSINESS ENGLISH COURSE

English is known as the "World Language" for Business Communication.

We have business people in overseas countries studying Business English with ec com on the internet as well as learners in Christchurch studying in our offices. We have shown good results and help our learners in their communication for day to day activities.

ec com uses a range of texts for Business English to provide for learners at all levels and
for many purposes.

Like all of our lessons, courses are designed by the tutor in consultation with the learner to maximize learning for a specific purpose.

Our recommended text of choice is Cambridge English365 which is a series of 3 texts suitable for learners from Post Elementary/Low Intermediate through to Upper Intermediate level.  In addition to this series we use a variety of other texts (including business vocabulary texts) to provide for our total learners' needs.

Our main tutor for Business English worked in law for 23 years (and more recently, following the Christchurch earthquakes as a contract Manager and Administrative Consultant), so he has plenty of business experience to bring to lessons.

  • We assess learners’ English ability and needs, to recommend an appropriate text for study.

  • Learners are required to purchase their own copy for personal study and review; most common texts are able to be sourced by eccom on behalf of learners, if required.

  • We have developed a study method to create independent learners and provide one to two hours of self-study for every one hour of face to face class time.

eccom Courses

Price as advertised

Includes exam study and specialised English content such as writing, business, nursing/caregiver English, pronunciation or simply general/social English study courses.

  •  All lesson fees are payable in advance.

  • 10% discount for 24 Private Lessons (within a 3 month period) booked and paid for in advance.
