AFTER SCHOOL TUTORIAL

ec com has been providing After School Tutorial classes to Primary and High  School students in Christchurch since
2003. Most lessons are available ”online” and/or at our office for learner convenience.
 

Private one-to-one tutorial is also available.

We continue to offer the following class lessons from Monday to Friday between 3.30pm and 7.00pm subject to learner demand:

• English Support

- Covering all aspects of creative and formal writing; reading skills and strategies; language skills (word classes, figurative and literal language, sentence and paragraph writing) and additional skills study for Year 9 – 13 High School students. Three levels – Beginner/Elementary; Pre-Intermediate +; Intermediate +. We also provide Primary School study at three basic levels, sourcing study material from a wide range of resources including NZ Curriculum based exercises.

• IELTS  

- Entry Level IELTS study targeting high Pre-intermediate/ low Intermediate level learners aimed at IELTS band scores between 4-5. This a great introduction to IELTS and/or general English study.

- Full IELTS two course progressive programme each containing 32 hours of study aimed at Academic IELTS band score of 6 +.

- Extension Level course featuring thematic (topic) based learning aimed at Academic IELTS band score of 6.5- 7.5 +.

• TOEIC

We provide a three-course progressive programme. Each course contains 6 x 1.5hour lessons. Further specialised study is available on request.​

• TOEFL

- To cover the full programme learners would need to commit to 50-70 hours of study. We recommend a minimum study course of 30 hours. With additional lessons and tests available.

• SAT

- We recommend a minimum study course of 30 hours to cover materials, although, additional lessons and practice tests are available. Most learners elect to continue to study over a longer period of time.​

Small classes (max 5) mean that all students get time spent with them individually to help them understand and gain true learning. In a small class the students also learn from each other in a collaborative learning environment.

•  All lesson fees are payable in advance.

• 10% discount for 24 Private Lessons (within a 3 month period) booked and paid for in advance.
